The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NHPL addresses the
needs of women from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
Specialty Care
The Department offers specialty care in the fields of:
- Perinatal medicine
- Gynecological Oncology
- Adolescent Gynecology
- Menopause
Special Services:
- Ultrasound Services the Department provides Gynecological and Obstetric scans and follicular tracking for infertility patients 6 days a week. Portable Ultrasound Services provide emergency care in the labour ward. Ultrasound guided procedures are done in the theatre & also performed as outpatient procedures.
- Master Health Check-up as part of the Master Health Check-up, gynecological examinations are conducted that help with gynecological cancer screening (Pap smears & Mammograms)
- State-of-the-art Labour Wards the Department also provides 24-hour maternity and epidural and anaesthetic services, well-monitored, state-of-the-art labour wards with birthing suites, all on par with the best Western standards. Extensive laparoscopic, hysteroscopy and gynecological cancer surgeries are also undertaken
