In Vitro Fertilization involves a series of process that involves one to assist with the conception of a child. IVF works by using a combination of medicines and surgical procedures. IVF has a number of steps and may take several months to complete.
Several medicines are given to mature eggs and make them ready for fertilization. Regular ultrasounds are done to keep a track of egg development. Once the eggs are matured, the doctor removes the eggs by a minor surgical process. This is done at a fertility clinic. With the help of an ultrasound the doctor will monitor the process of pulling out eggs of the follicle.
The sperms from the partner or a donor are stored for fertilization. The eggs are monitored regularly at the lab. The cells divide and become embryos. After this the embryos are transferred back to the uterus. Pregnancy happens when embryo gets attached to line of the uterus.
After reading the above procedure we can easily conclude that IVF is a process that requires a minor surgical procedure.
